Our Texas Vacation

I haven't written for awhile because our life has been go, go go! We spent a week at Cub Scout Day camp. All the kids got to go. The girls spent the week in the "Sibling Den" while I helped with the cubs. It was so much fun! Then that friday we packed up and headed to Texas in our car. We drove for three and a half days and the kids did fabulously. We were so excited to see our grandparents. We did lots of fun stuff while we were there:

We went to an area museum. It was free! And the museum was really fun. We learned about the area and there were lots of hands on exhibits. The kids pumped water, carded wool, cleaned cotton, crushed corn, and sent telegraph messages.
We spent hours at the water park with Aunt Cindy and Madison. It was hard to get good pictures because the kids came flying out so fast (not to mention I was too busy playing to take pictures!) They had a great time and really didn't want to leave.
Grandpa had a doctor's appointment one day, so we ventured out to the Inner Space Caverns. The cave was huge and just kept going. All the stalactite and stalagmites were unbelievable.  The kids are still talking about this adventure.

Of course the girls had to carry on the tradition of painting grandpa's toenails. This time they had a cousin to join in. His toenails looked beautiful!

The weather in Texas made us want to spend lots of time in the water. We went to a pool and the kids had a great time jumping and diving into the deep end. When we got to the pool everyone was in the shallow end, so the Haggard kids just took over the diving board. They spent over an hour jumping and swimming.

Uncle Tracey drove down from Houston to visit us. We took him to a community water park in the area that ended up being really fun. They only down side of this park was that JJ wasn't tall enough to go down the water slides. I had to laugh though, they let her jump and dive into the twelve foot water, but not slide down into the four foot water. Funny, huh? But we had fun anyway.
This was so cool. You slide down a steep slide into this gigantic funnel. You slide around and around the funnel until you come out the bottom. Nathan and Uncle Tracey loved this one.
Here's Nathan after just coming out of the funnel.

We also went to a Round Rock Express baseball game. We had awesome seats right behind home plate. We love baseball.
With all the fun we had, the best part was spending time with family! Here's MaryLynn with cousin Madison.

Kids and Grandpa!
Here's the kids with cousin, Cody. They are showing their college spirit. Cody is a longhorn fan, but Brad has brainwashed our kids into loving Texas A&M, so they are showing their "Gig'm Aggies" spirit.

Nathan spent some time playing Lacrosse with both Cody and Uncle Tracey.

We had a great visit and headed home for another long drive. Believe it or not, I turned around and headed to Young Women's camp that tuesday. I just got home from that yesterday and the kids start soccer camp on Monday. I hope to have time to breath then! Wish me luck!
