Our Easter

We had a great Easter this year. I mentioned on my other blog about how I have come to see Easter as a blessing despite it being the anniversary of Katie's death. angelwiththesilversmile.blogspot.com

And this year we celebrated with a few friends. We met at Katie's tree (not the big one you see here) for picnicking and scrapbook reading. It was such a nice time to be together. The weather was gorgeous and the kids ran and played while the adults visited.

We were also presented with a neat gift. Marissa and some friends from school put their money together and had some special m&m's made for us. They have pictures of Katie on them and special remembrances.  I can't tell you how much it means to me to know that Katie is remembered. I don't know who pitched in for this gift, but Thank You, Thank You, from the bottom of my heart. What a thoughtful gift!

Here we are beside Katie's tree. It already has buds on it this year, and I can't wait for the flowers to bloom. Our family is wearing our clothes that we brought home from our cruise. Don't we look like we belong in the Carribean?

I couldn't resist taking this picture of JJ. Brad and I brought back parasols for the girls and they both love them. She is so beautiful. (She looks like a re-make of Katie, doesn't she?)
